Q. Do you do commissions?

A. Absolutely. It would be my pleasure to create a work of art to enhance both your home and your heart.

Q. I have never done anything like this before. How does it work?

A. Simple, contact me by email and I will explain everything in detail.

Q. Do you work from photographs?

A. Yes.I will need photos that you feel best represent your pet, as well as close-ups of his facial features, ie. Ears, eyes, nose and mouth.

Q. What do you charge?

A. The cost for my work starts at $225.00 for 12" x 12" acrylic on canvas and $175 for 12" x 12" drawing, single image portrait (face only), unframed. Larger sizes, multiple images, materials used and complexity of the composition are all factors that determine price. Once we have had a chance to discuss what you are interested in, I will be able to give you an exact quote.

Q. Do you require a deposit?

A. Yes, 50% when your order is placed with the balance before the order is shipped.

Q. Are there any additional charges?

A. Yes, packing and shipping, which will depend on size and destination.

Q. How long does it take?

A. Upon receipt of your photos and deposit, most work will take approximately 2 -4 months, depending on how many other commissions precede your order.A more accurate time frame can be given at time of order.

Q. What else do I need to know?

A. That having a unique portrait of your pet will make you smile every time you see it ! I work with my clients in an effort to understand how they see their pet, and bring that certain something" that makes your pet unique to the canvas. My portraits are given as gifts for birthdays, holidays and other special occasions, and that I am often asked to paint a portrait in memory of a deceased family pet.
